Passenger

Passenger

Tracks Passenger's VM size, process count, private memory usage, the number of application instances currently alive, the number of instances that are currently processing requests, and the number of idle instances.

Overview

Tracks metrics from Passenger’s passenger-status and passenger-memory-stats commands.

Tracks Phusion Passenger’s VM size, process count, and the amount of private memory it’s using. As an added bonus, this plugin also tracks the same statistics for the Apache instance managing Passenger.

Also provides metrics on Passengers internal state, including the number of application instances that are currently alive, the number of instances that are currently processing requests, and the number of idle instances. See the passenger manual for details on the values provided by the passenger-status command line.

Note that you need to edit the sudoers file on your server to allow the Scout agent to run passenger-status and passenger-memory-stats without a password. You will need to address this access issue on your server. Learn how here.
